Jacob J. Micallef
Director of Sports
Jacob J. Micallef currently holds the post of Director of Sports and is reading for a BA (hons) in Maltese. Jacob’s main objectives for this year are, to make every sport event on campus organized by MUSC a successful one and to encourage as many students as possible to take up a sport. Jacob was formerly part of other student organizations as well.
As of the age of 9 Jacob started football training with his locality’s football club - Floriana FC and at the age of 16 he joined Balzan Youths on loan. He then returned to Floriana FC and at 19 years of age he joined St. Georges for another short loan spell. In 2008 Jacob joined Lija Athletic on a permanent basis but never played any competitive match due to a long-term injury.
In 2010 Jacob also attended boxing sessions, later he attended tennis classes, and took part in two tennis tournaments. Jacob is the co founder of Lija/Iklin Amateur FC and will be one of the players in this team that intends to participate in the Swan League.
