John Bonello
Director of Finance and International Affairs
John Bonello, 21 years old, has just completed his first three years as alaw student studying Law and Philosophy and is planning to take up the study of Human Rights as from this year. He has been widely involved in Campus life for the past years - representing his course year as Student Representative for the past three years and served for a year as Information Technology Officer on the GhSL (The Law Students Society) executive board.
As Director of Finance and International for the next academic year, John's objectives are to increase MUSC's income by controlling the organization -and event's costs more efficiently in order to minimize them; negotiate longer-term better and more prominent sponsorship deals with our corporate partners and invest in better ways of reaching out to campus students in order to maximize the MUSC's image and reputation with the student body - our image will reflect our personality and that is what makes or breaks you as David Ogilvy once claimed! He also plans to improve MUSC's relations and wants to oversee increased participation in pan-european and international events.
Besides driving crazy the other committee members with financial projections and cost-cutting proposals, John's interests range from reading (and mostly arguing) Philosophy to Politics, I.T., Languages, Travelling and Environmental and Animal Rights issues. He is currently an advisor for the NSTF Mini European Assembly in which he has participated for the past 3 years as both participant and advisor and has advised the winning team for 2010/2011. John has, for the past few years, been involved in running his own commercial enterprise.
