About Us
Sports, health and fitness are three concepts that are essential in one’s everyday lifestyle. With the ever-growing awareness of healthy eating in conjunction with regular exercise in order for humans to live longer and flourish in good health, one might say that sporting has permanently embedded itself in our cultures. With this in mind, the Malta University Sports Club (MUSC) was established in 1925 at the University of Malta with the aim of contributing towards this progressive boom.

As a non-profit making organisation, MUSC’s sole aspiration is to promote sports and create awareness amongst students of the many sporting associations that are established in Malta therefore encouraging youths to amalgamate sports into their daily routine. Driven by success, MUSC has escalated from a small organisation striving for acceptance to a nationally recognised household name with a much-anticipated calendar of events. The latter includes Freshers’ Week, the Interfaculty Football Tournament, Sports Fest, Carnival Weekend in Gozo and the Aquatic and Fitness Centre (AFC).

Every year, over the summer holidays, MUSC upholds an AGM (Annual General Meeting) in the presence of a KSU (Kunsill ta l-Istudenti Universitarji) representative: this year the Malta University Sports Club welcomed the company of Dylan Seychell – Social Policy Co-ordinator at KSU. During an AGM, the committee members for the upcoming scholastic year are elected and they become further oriented with their roles.

MUSC offers a great opportunity for all students to learn and enhance their skills both on a physical level as well as in an administrative environment. We do not tolerate discrimination of any form and believe that with great effort comes great success. After all, “Champions keep playing until they get it right” [Billie Jean King].
